Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, services, assessments, and training programs provided by Asian Pilot English Academy (APEA).

Asian Pilot English Academy (APEA) is a trading name of:

an Australian-registered proprietary limited company operating under Australian law.

  • Aviation English training programs.
  • Airline interview preparation and coaching.
  • Educational resources related to aviation communication.

All services are delivered online unless otherwise stated.

3. ICAO Language Proficiency & Certification


3.1 ICAO Framework

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) defines global standards for aviation English language proficiency.

However, ICAO does not conduct or issue language assessments.

3.2 National Civil Aviation Authorities

ICAO language proficiency assessments are conducted by authorised examiners, approved by each country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and recorded on a pilot’s licence by that authority.

3.3 APEA Assessment Position

As at the time of accessing or using APEA services:

  • APEA does not currently provide officially recognised ICAO language proficiency certification or licence endorsement services in any jurisdiction.
  • Any diagnostic, assessment, or level estimate provided by APEA is:
    • Indicative only.
    • Based on internal evaluation methods.
    • Not valid for licence endorsement.

3.4 Future Capability

APEA may, in the future:
  • Become authorised to conduct ICAO-compliant assessments in specific jurisdictions (e.g. Australia).
  • Expand assessment capability across Asia, subject to regulatory approval.

No such capability is claimed unless formally authorised.

3.5 Referrals to Certified Assessors

Where appropriate, APEA may:
  • Recommend certified ICAO examiners.
  • Refer users to their relevant Civil Aviation Authority.
  • Facilitate introductions to approved assessment providers.

Users are responsible for:

4. Free Diagnostic


The free ICAO-aligned diagnostic:

  • Is a preliminary screening tool.
  • Provides a high-level indicative result only.
  • Does not constitute a formal or complete assessment.

APEA reserves the right to modify or withdraw this tool at any time.

5. Paid Assessment


5.1 Nature of Service

The paid assessment may include:

  • Scenario-based questions.
  • Listening and comprehension tasks.
  • Written or spoken responses.
  • Manual or hybrid evaluation.

5.2 No Guarantee

The paid assessment may include:

  • Achievement of any ICAO level.
  • Improvement in performance.
  • Employment outcomes.

5.3 Refund Policy

Due to the digital and time-based nature of the service:

  • No refunds are provided once the assessment has commenced.
  • Refunds prior to access may be considered at APEA’s discretion.

6. Training Programs


6.1 General

Training programs are structured educational services designed to improve aviation communication skills.

6.2 No Outcome Guarantee

APEA does not guarantee:

  • ICAO assessment success.
  • Employment or airline selection.
  • Specific performance improvements.

6.3 Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for:

  • Attending sessions.
  • Completing assigned work.
  • Actively participating.

6.4 Refund Policy

  • Training fees are non-refundable once the program has commenced.
  • Exceptions may be considered at APEA’s discretion.

7. Coaching Services


Coaching services are advisory and preparatory in nature.

APEA does not guarantee:

  • Interview success.
  • Employment outcomes.

  • All prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment must be made in full prior to access.
  • APEA reserves the right to change pricing at any time.

9. User Accounts


Users may be required to:

  • Register personal information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials.

APEA is not responsible for unauthorised access due to user negligence.
