ICAO-Aligned Aviation Communication Training

About Asian Pilot English Academy

Aviation communication training built by professionals — designed to help pilots meet ICAO standards and perform confidently in real-world environments.

Who We Are

Asian Pilot English Academy (APEA) is focused on one thing — helping aviation professionals develop the communication skills required for ICAO language proficiency and real-world aviation operations and perform effectively in operational and airline environments.

APEA was created to address a common gap in aviation training: many capable pilots are held back not by technical skill, but by communication — particularly under pressure, during assessments, and in real-world operational scenarios.

Our approach is practical, structured, and aligned with how communication is actually assessed and used in aviation.

APEA provides ICAO-aligned diagnostics, assessments, and training preparation only.

The gap in aviation
English training

Many pilots have strong technical knowledge but struggle with communication in assessment and operational environments.

Common challenges include:

Difficulty structuring responses clearly

Hesitation under pressure

Limited aviation-specific vocabulary

Uncertainty about what ICAO assessors are actually evaluating

Lack of preparation for airline interviews

Most English training is general in nature and does not address the specific communication demands of aviation.

APEA provides ICAO-aligned diagnostics, assessments, and training preparation only.

Experience & Background

APEA is led by an aviation professional with over 30 years’ experience across airline operations, flight training, and aviation standards.

With more than 8,000 hours of flight time, this experience spans multi-engine, turbine, and instrument operations, along with advanced instructional and senior training leadership roles.

This background ensures that APEA training is aligned not only with ICAO language proficiency expectations, but with the communication demands of real-world aviation operations, assessments, and airline environments — not generic English instruction.
